Our firsts guests of the 2018 season arrived on May 5. They enjoyed a swim(!!!), kayaking, canoeing and fishing.

Thank you 2014

Dear Friends of Sunset Cabins,

we are again at the "in-between-time" of Christmas and New Year. The gift exchanges and preparations for the Big Feast are over and we're able to relax and enjoy the Twelve Days of Christmas with visits to friends, enjoying the winter landscape and tuning "in". It's the time of releasing regret, making resolutions and planning the future,

The "winter landscape" is very different from last year at this time. Last year we had ice storms and power outages. This year we have balmy 45 degrees and rain.

I can see the ripples on the lake and yesterday our resident eagle spread his wings and landed on a pine branch looking for fish below. The wild turkeys make their daily rounds looking for seeds and the squirrels are still adding to their cache.

The ice fishermen will have to wait to start their favorite winter sport.

Most of all now is the time to give thanks for all that we received during the last year.

In this vein I would like to thank all our guests for a great 2014 rental season. I hope you enjoyed the lake and its surroundings, the swimming, boating and relaxing as much as we did.

For those of you who plan to return next summer the rental fees for 2015 are:

Lakefront 1 and 2 guests: $800.00 per week*

Lakefront 3 and 4 guests: $880.00 per week*

Lakefront 5 and 6 guests: $950.00 per week*

Lakeview 1 and 2 guests: $550.00 per week - studio with 2 twin beds*

Lakeview 1 and 2 guests: $650.00 per week - 1 bedroom w queen bed*

*all subject to 8% sales tax.

Elliot plans to rent his sunfish next year. We both know how much this means to many of our guests. We'll keep you posted about the insurance needs.
